You probably have heard the word “Fika” before. No? Let me explain it to you. Fika means “little coffee break” and the Swedes love it.
It is so important that even some businesses have two timeslots a day that are reserved for Fika. But who would not love to have a break from work or whatever else you are doing to grab a cup of coffee, a cake, cinnamon role or else and have a chat with your colleagues and friends.
But where are the good Cafés in Malmö to celebrate the Fika with your friends?
Here is a list with some coffee chains, exclusive spots and more:
- Espresso House
You´ll find it in every corner in the city, it´s good, but it´s nothing special.
- Konditori Katarina
You´ll find this Café in Malmö also more than once. It’s a little smaller but it´s nice and the cakes are very yummy.
- Gateau
This is a mix between a coffee shop and bakery.
If you are not into the classical coffee chains you have to go to…
Quite a unique place where you also can buy home décor and clothing.
A very cute Café. I liked it very much. If you have the time, be sure to stop by.
It´s a small 100% vegan Café and became popular very quickly.
- Condeco
It´s a big Café. They also serve pastries, pizza and alcoholic drinks.
- Kaka på kaka
A smaller Café with great coffee and pastries.
- Slottsträdgården Kaffe
It´s a very popular Café in the beautiful garden behind the castle and it´s always full with people but worth the visit. They serve pastries and savories, coffee and alcoholic drinks and its one of my favorite places.
Here are some more Cafés in Malmö but unfortunately, I had no chance to go there yet…
- Agge & Bönan
- Café No 6
- Djäkne Kaffebar
- Eida
- Flax
- Jord
- Kärleksgatan 3
- Kommendanthuset
- Konditori Hollandia
- Lilla Kafferosteriet
- Noir Kaffekultur
- Nostra
- Qoffee
- Ribersborgs Kallbadhus
- Solde Kaffebar
- And many more…
Hope you´ll find a nice Café to enjoy your Fika!
